Crew's Hole, the area where I now live, used to be a coal mine and tar pit and industrial area. Apparently you can still smell the tar in the summer, but over 100 years after it was last excavated I reckon you would be more likely to smell the rubbish dump on the same site (but not below my flat!).

Last week my grandmother won the National Customer Service Awards' Lifetime Achievment Award, which made us all very proud of her.

Last weekend was Alison & Martyn's wedding. Alison is a friend from Surrey, and Martyn she met right here in Bristol.
My grandmother's Reliant is on eBay, get bidding, impress your friends and get yourself a classic.
A month after I bought the place, I have just spent my first weekend
at my new flat, making many items of Ikea furniture in what was
possibly the hottest weekend in ages. I even bough an electric
drill / screwdriver so I am now a proper home owner.
Much nicer than my old flat, bigger, wood flooring all over the
place, lovely landscaped grounds and right on top of the river - I
spent a good time walking along the river to the local shopping centre.
